Forlaget Mammut / Oceanium
Oceanarium offers exhibits with sea creatures from all over the world, large whales and small, colorful fish, giant jellyfish and slimy snails, squid, mussels, plankton, rays, turtles, polar bears, seabirds and many more. And then the nature of the sea and its pressured ecosystems are described in detail, with a focus on the importance of humans for biodiversity and its sustainability. The text is primarily written for older children, but with a little help from an adult, children of all ages can greatly enjoy the book. And the adults will not be bored either! There are enough lessons in the Oceanarium and the other books in the series that everyone will get wiser, and for countless visits to the museum – whether it is for quick browsing or slow, thorough walks. The book is illustrated by the artist Teagan White, who in his art works with the relationship between man and nature, and the text is by the British biologist Loveday Trinick.
